A global love letter to nature, SUPER NATURE is an immersive exploration of our world, filmed exclusively on the original home movie format, Super 8.
Led by filmmaker Ed Sayers, 40 Super 8 collaborators in 25 countries across 5 continents, create a wondrous and diverse tapestry of footage of the natural
world. From white rhinos to weedy sea dragons, flamingos to snails, SUPER NATURE reveals the deep connection we all have to nature, one that modern life so often prevents us from noticing.
Embracing all we have, and all we have to lose, SUPER NATURE proposes a new way of seeing, as it takes us on a spellbinding journey of discovery and togetherness with our fellow dwellers on earth, both human and non-human.
Winner Green Award & Audience Award, 2026 Pordenone Docs Fest
The screening will be preceded by a panel exploring the resurgence of analog film as both an artistic choice and a cultural statement, discussing why shooting on film still matters, and how new generations of filmmakers and artists are rediscovering the tangible beauty of celluloid.
