An original film concert featuring new music for Frank Hurley iconic silent film documenting Douglas Mawson's 1911 Antarctic expedition, Home of the Blizzard.

Composed and performed live by Romano Crivici, Carla Thackrah & guests, alongside the eight-voices Syrinx Vocal Ensemble.

Featuring a reworking of Frank Hurley's historically significant film from his three-year voyage, with additional material documenting the effects of climate change in present-day Antarctica.

The live score will be led by musicians Romano Crivici and Carla Thackrah, creators of The Mushroom Whisperers and the music for Follow the Rain, both standout events of the 2024 Bangalow Film Festival.
